Short Foray Away: Dinner and Movie…Anyone?

Restaurant Week in Seattle – October 18-22, October 25-29

I love the idea behind this two time a year dining event: 3 courses in many great Seattle restaurants for a fixed price – lunches and dinners. It gives you a chance to try out some of Seattle’s finest dining establishments and experiment with some new dining experiences for a great price. I have done it several times. It will return in April for another 10 days. Go to their wonderful website that can help you choose restuarants and see the steaming pot graphic…fun!

“Dine out for a deal during Seattle Restaurant Week October 18-22 & October 25-29. More than 165+ local restaurants are serving up three-course dinners for just $30, and many also offer two-course lunches for $15. This 10 day promotion runs Sunday through Thursday only; excluding Friday, Saturday and Sunday brunch. You’ve got to taste it to believe it!”

Sponsored by the Seattle Times, Alaska Airlines and Visa Signature Card here are The Times’ recommendations of the “deals of the deals”.

If you are on Facebook you can check out the postings about what’s going on with this event now.

Best movie bets according to Rotten Tomatoes, my go to web-site, for reviews: Bridge of Spies, directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Hanks, The Martian with Matt Damon as a stranded lone astronaut on Mars. And, more about that enigma Steve Jobs if you can handle more!
